If you’ve ever looked at your life and thought, “Surely there’s more than this,” then welcome — you’re in the right place.

I’m Lizzy Ellis — 57, separated, halfway through a divorce, and finally done pretending life should look perfect. I’ve rebuilt myself more than once: from buying director in a power suit & heels, to wife and stepmum, to a woman who woke up one day and realised… I want my own life back.

Now it’s me and Alfie, my Spanish Podenco rescue -small, scruffy and convinced he runs the household. We split our time between the UK and the Netherlands, making sense of love, loss, lust, liberation — and everything in between.

My four best friends have been with me since school; we’ve survived disastrous haircuts, questionable men, and marriages that should have come with a user manual. They show  up here often, because every woman needs her circle.

What I write isn’t coaching or therapy.
It’s the real stuff: messy, hilarious, painful, sexy, hopeful — the truth women whisper to each other when the door closes.

Because 57 isn’t the end of the story.
It’s the chapter where things finally get interesting.

So think of this space as a dare, a deep breath, and a wink:
A reminder that it’s never too late to want more, choose yourself, fall in love again, flirt outrageously… and live the rest of your life out loud.
